Our Staff

Directed by a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Psychotherapist with a combined experience of over 20 years treating Eating Disorders, the intensive outpatient Eating Disorders program represents many professional disciplines including nutrition, social work, counseling, hypnotherapy, yoga and referrals to a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Therapists as needed. Discovery Paths includes experienced and compassionate staff that work together as a team to help each client work through the process of recovery.

Anne H. Lee, MS, RD
Co-Founder and Nutrition Therapist

 
   

Anne H. Lee is a Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Therapist. Annie is a graduate of the University of California at Davis where she received her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Dietetics. She received her graduate training at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where she earned her Masters of Science degree in Human Nutrition in 1988. She became a Registered Dietitian in 1989.

Annie has been working with Eating Disorders over the past ten years. She began to specialize in Eating Disorders while working at Capistrano by the Sea Hospital where she received extensive training in working with this specialized population. Annie then implemented and developed the Eating Disorders Program at South Coast Medical Center in 1998 where she continues to be the Program Manager. Annie offers a dynamic and personable approach that is collaborative with her clients and their families. She works with her clients to heal their relationship with food and their body as well as facilitates the development of a healthy lifestyle.

In addition to Discovery Paths, Annie continues as Program Manager of the Eating Disorders Program at South Coast Medical Center; lectures to schools, colleges and to professionals; is a consultant to professional in the healthcare field; and maintains a private practice in Laguna Hills where she treats men and women of all ages who have eating disorders as well as individuals seeking to improve their health and lifestyle.

Kim Glossbrenner, LCSW
Co-Founder and Therapist

 
   

Kim Glossbrenner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She received her graduate training as well at California State University at Long Beach where she obtained her graduate degree, Masters of Social Work in 1996.

Kim has a ten-year history working with crisis populations in the in-patient acute care setting as well as in her private practice. She first began working with Eating Disorders at Capistrano by the Sea Hospital where she worked with the adolescent Eating Disorder population. Kim continued her work with Eating Disorders in the in-patient setting at South Coast Medical Center where she provided group, family and individual therapy. Her approach is cognitive behavioral, changing the self-sabotaging beliefs and patterns which may impede daily functioning. She has extensive experience with individuals of all ages and struggles providing individual, couples and family therapy. Because an Eating Disorder is a problem, which masks other internal conflicts such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and thought disorders, Kim also addresses these areas.

In addition to Discovery Paths, Kim maintains a private practice in Laguna Hills where she treats adolescents, adults, couples, and families who bring a diverse spectrum of concerns.

Georgie Anne Albert, ASW
Therapist

Georgie Anne Albert received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology as well as her Masters of Social Work degree from California State University at Long Beach.

Georgie is a therapist who has an extensive background working in crisis intervention and with individuals with poor coping skills and those struggling with obsessive- compulsive behaviors. Georgie’s private practice involves personal exploration and goal setting while utilizing problem solving techniques. Her practice has an emphasis on cross cultural relationships and family dynamics. Georgie’s philosophy is that one must acknowledge the importance of the interrelationship of the mind, body and spirit in order to achieve health and happiness. Georgie facilitates group therapy at Discovery Paths where she leads psychotherapy and educational groups towards recovery.

In addition to her role at Discovery Paths, Georgie maintains a private practice in Laguna Hills.

Rebecca Dupont
Yoga Instructor

Rebecca is a Certified Yoga Instructor who focuses her classes on connecting mind, body and spirit. She is well versed in working with clients recovering from their eating disorders. She works with them to increase their body awareness and to increase their sense of comfort within their own body.
